This notice explains the intended data handling for CopyWitness’s first release. Production vendors and retention periods must be finalized before accepting real customer evidence.
Data we process
We process account identifiers, URLs you submit, public page captures, comparison findings, report-route status, security logs, and product events needed to operate the service.
Why we process it
We use this data to authenticate you, create evidence cases, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, understand activation, and provide support.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Infrastructure providers may process data on our behalf for hosting, database, object storage, email, analytics, and payments. You choose whether to send an evidence pack to a third party.
Retention and deletion
Before production launch we will publish concrete case, backup, log, and deletion windows. The account page will provide an authenticated deletion path. Legal preservation requests may require a limited hold.
